nxnative runs supported Nintendo Switch games natively on Apple silicon Macs. It is not an emulator: the game's own ARM64 code runs directly on the Apple chip, the Switch's system services are replaced by a host program, and the graphics are rebuilt on Metal. The project is open source (MIT) and available on GitHub.
This guide covers building a supported game on the Mac with sound, starting from a Mac with nothing installed.
