A one-click macOS Finder toolbar button. It saves whatever text is on the clipboard as a .md file in the folder the front Finder window is showing, then selects the new file.
This document is written so an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) can install it end to end. A human only has to do the last step: Cmd-drag the app into the Finder toolbar.
- Reads the clipboard with
pbpaste. If it is empty, shows a "Clipboard is empty" dialog and stops. - Builds a filename from the first meaningful line: up to 6 words, lowercased and hyphenated, capped at 50 characters. It skips blank lines, horizontal rules, single-word section headers and meta-headings like "Summary (2-3 sentences)". It falls back to
clipboard-note.md.
