Debugging a dead cloudflared tunnel on macOS

The dashboard says the tunnel is down, your site won't load, and cloudflared service install seems to do nothing. These are the checks to run, in order.

What happened to me

I switched from a manually downloaded binary (~/Downloads/cloudflared.new) to the Homebrew one, then deleted the old binary. The tunnel died and reinstalling the service didn't fix it.

The launchd plist still pointed at the deleted binary. launchd tried to run a file that didn't exist and gave no error. Nothing ran, so nothing was logged.
sudo cloudflared service install <token> left the old plist in place. So the old path stayed.
